Want to visit Washington DC. Do you know what must see sights in Washington DC are required to apply in advance and how to do it?
Besides the White House, is the advanced ticket required to visit the U.S. Capitol, by the way?
There’s really only one: to see inside the White house, you must apply at least a month in advance. To do so, you must contact the office of your US Congressman, who will attempt to get tickets for you. For the best chance of getting tickets, apply about six months in advance.
UPDATE
To visit the US Capitol, you can make online reservations using this official website:
http://tours.visitthecapitol.gov/welcome.aspx?AspxAutoDetectCookieSupport=1
You can also ask your Congressman or Senator’s office to book the Capitol tour for you.
It’s also possible to just show up at the Capitol Visitor’s Center for a tour, although if it’s busy, you may have to wait quite some time–which is why it’s best to reserve in advance.
