In Wisconsin how do you make your religion officially recognised by the state?
I am atheist. I would like to found "Atheist Church of Wisconsin."
The reason I care is I want to marry other atheists. I also want to know if those atheists can marry themselves. I also want to know if there are tax exemptions for wedding officiates who are atheist.
Do you mean for tax exempt purposes? Because there would be no other reason. Also atheism is not a religion, it's an ideology, a way of thinking, not a faith.
Also Atheist Church? Isn't that kind of contradictory.

Few states recognize or care about any religion of any kind. The only recent example I can recall involved a wiccan who wanted a wiccan symbol on her kid's headstone in a Veterans cemetery. Took a while for the VA to do it.
I know that my state has no list of religions and I don't know why wisconsin would. If you want to found a church, go ahead. If you want to know about the ramifications of founding a church, ask about that.

You can read about atheism and their beliefs/ non-beliefs before you try to start a church for them, because they may laugh at you.

I think fed gov actually recognize atheist as religion although it really isn't. I mean what you gona do in that church though? Meet every Monday and eat pop corn? But Jedi is supposed to be official religion in Britain, so can't be that hard.

If you're atheist, why do you care what anyone makes official on religion? You're not supposed to believe in religion, so what do you need with a 'church'?
