How much money does it take to start a computer repair business?

We are going to be opening our own computer repair business from home. Looking for suggestions, estimates or solid figures of how much money we will need up front.

Almost nothing. Maybe $2,000 at most. You won't be carrying huge amounts of spare parts. You probably already have a vehicle. Get a magnetic sign for the car doors as advertisement. More ads are free but you could try the local newspaper. Call a reporter for a local newspaper and ask if she will interview you. Everyone needs your help..

I used to have one. It does not cost much to start, but the payoff is not worth it. Now days, the price of replacement parts is so cheep that it is cheeper for an owner to buy a new computer than to pay to have the old one replaced.
I don't recommend it.

In this Business you should have a good hardware knowledge. But there is not good earnings in this Business. Yes the cost is not so much to start. But if you want to try it then you can.
