I am also an atheist. But i have been to church with christian friends, and one sermon i heard, the pastor said that to be a good christian, you must be a good human being… spread the gospel to those who dont know it, but do not judge… only God has the right to judge because we all sinners.
Even though i am atheist, I agree with that pastor because religion was not meant for people to preach hatred, it was there to create a MORAL basis.

The reason for joining the right wing for many middle easterners/muslims is to prove that they are patriotic. They follow the scam that to be a true American you have to have Republican values.
